A gender reveal cake is a mystery cake designed to prompt a guess about the baby’s gender. The outside of the cake is often decorated in two colors, pink and blue, but can be any color of the rainbow. The big reveal is made when the cake is sliced, exposing a pink or blue interior, which indicates the gender. Some gender reveal cakes feature a layer of pink or blue frosting to reveal if the baby is a girl or boy when the cake is sliced.
